Reunite

Every jersey knows its way home.

Imagine if your child's lost item could tell you it had been found. That's Reunite — a simpler way for schools and families to get lost uniforms and belongings back where they belong, without the stressful searching.

Launching in South African schools. Tell us which school is yours.

Lost property is a system that has never worked.

Every school has a bin, a cupboard or a table piled with clothing nobody claims. Most of it is named. It still goes home with nobody.

Parents replace things they already own

A jersey goes missing in week three and is bought again by week five, while the original sits fifty metres away in a cupboard.

Staff spend hours sorting clothing

Someone has to read faded names off collars, work out which class, and walk the pile around. Usually the same person, every term.

The rest is thrown away

Whatever is unclaimed at the end of the year is donated or dumped. Wearable uniforms, gone, and bought again in January.

Label it once, then it runs on its own

The only thing anyone has to remember is the first step. After that, nobody at the school changes how they work.

Once

Label their things

A pack arrives with everything you need for uniform, kit, lunch gear and the rest. You do this at the start of the year and then forget it.

Then

Life happens

A jersey comes off at break. A bottle stays behind after practice. It reaches lost property like it always does — nothing changes for staff.

Within minutes

Reunite works it out

Lost property is checked every fifteen minutes, so an item is matched to the family it belongs to almost as soon as it is handed in.

Same day

You hear about it

A message arrives while it still matters, so things get collected that afternoon rather than sitting in a cupboard until December.

What you can tag

Anything that leaves the house and ought to come back. Uniform is where the pain is worst, but the same labels work across the rest of the bag.

  • Uniform & kit
  • Lunch boxes & bottles
  • Sports equipment
  • Musical instruments

Questions parents ask first

Can Reunite track my child?

No. Our readers only ever point to where an object is, never to where a child is. Nothing about the child or the owner is revealed publicly — the label carries no name and no contact details. Only the mobile number held securely in the cloud is used, and only to reach the rightful owner.

Does the label survive the washing machine?

It is designed to. We are specifying laundry-rated labels and testing them through repeated wash and tumble-dry cycles before we ship anything. We will publish the tested cycle count here once we have our own numbers rather than a supplier's.

Do I need to install an app?

Not a Reunite one. You register on WhatsApp and you're notified on WhatsApp, using the app you already have. If you'd rather be reached by SMS instead, you can ask for that.

Does the message tell me exactly which item was found?

The unique Reunite label automatically identifies the owner, but does not identify the object itself. In practice, that's enough to make a stop at the lost property.

What happens to my personal information?

We hold your mobile number and the labels linked to it, and nothing about your child. Notifications go through WhatsApp, which means Meta carries the message. We process everything under POPIA, we don't sell it, and you can ask us to delete it at any point. The full detail is in our privacy notice.

What if my child's school isn't signed up?

Join the waitlist anyway and give us the school's name. We are choosing our first pilot schools by where parents are actually asking for this, so your entry is what puts a school on the list.

How far away can the reader see a label?

Far enough to read a whole pile at once without anyone unfolding it. We are confirming the working range with our hardware suppliers and will publish the tested figure rather than a datasheet claim.

Is Reunite available yet?

Not yet. We are in the build stage and selecting pilot schools for our first term of live use. Everything on this page describes what we are building, and the waitlist is how you get in early.

Tell us where the problem is worst

We are picking our first schools based on where parents put up their hands. Two minutes now, and we'll come back to you before the pilot opens.
